Thom earned his Master of Business Administration from Averett University, a Bachelor of Science in counseling and a minor in risk management from Virginia Commonwealth University. In addition to taking care of his clients and practice, outside of the office, Thom engages in ballroom dance, biking, rollerblading, disc golf, working out, cooking and traveling. Additionally, he is an Associate Member — Henrico Fraternal Order of Police, an active member of the Henrico County Community Emergency Response Team, a graduate of the Henrico County Citizens' Police Academy and a member of Bon Air Baptist Church.
