Aaron Schroeder joined Ziegler in July of 2003. In May 2006, he transitioned from the role of credit research analyst to that of investment banking analyst in the senior living practice. His primary responsibilities include providing sole technical support to various investment bankers, performing and overseeing the financial analysis of actual and prospective transactions, researching and analyzing the needs of current and potential clients, performing detailed credit analysis, and assisting in industry research. Since joining the senior living investment banking team, Aaron has participated in underwriting transactions with a total par amount of just under $1.5 billion. These transactions have utilized rated and unrated fixed rate debt, enhanced variable rate debt, private placements, and Ziegler’s proprietary adjustable rate securities.
In his role of credit research analyst, Aaron provided credit analysis on start-up and substantially repositioned continuing care retirement communities, and performed preliminary research analysis for the Chief Credit Officer on potential seed capital investment opportunities for the firm’s private equity funds. he played a major role in the development of the Ziegler Start-up CCRC Database.
Prior to joining Ziegler, Aaron was an associate product manager for a division of Milwaukee-based Funjet Vacations, where he was responsible for the analysis of product demand and the implementation of appropriate pricing strategies, as well as forecasting revenues and profits.
Aaron graduated magna cum laude and earned a B.S. in business administration with an emphasis on finance, and minors in both economics and political science from Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin. He holds Series 7 – General Securities Representative and Series 79 – Limited Representative - Investment Banking licenses.
