Brendan Malone joined the senior living team at Ziegler in August 2007. His responsibilities include providing technical support to various investment bankers, performing and overseeing the financial analysis of actual and prospective transactions, researching and analyzing the needs of current and potential clients, and performing detailed credit analysis and industry research. Brendan has provided sole technical and transactional support on transactions that have utilized tax-exempt unrated and rated fixed rate debt, Ziegler’s EXTRASSM, tax-exempt enhanced variable rate debt, construction loans, and bank qualified private placements. Brendan has also been involved in providing advisory services such as financial forecasting, construction loan and permanent debt sizing, capital planning, and debt capacity analysis.
Prior to joining Ziegler, Brendan had been a history teacher at Saint Ignatius College Prep. At Saint Ignatius, he taught Chicago history, American studies, world history, and AP comparative politics.
Brendan earned a B.A. in political science from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.
