Michael Taylor joined the senior living team at Ziegler in May of 2004. His primary focus is concentrated on supporting several senior living bankers in the Northeast, Midwest and West markets as well as managing the senior living analytical team.

Mike’s primary responsibilities include providing sole technical and transaction support on both non-profit and for-profit senior living financings as well as managing the senior living analytical team’s workflow. Mike has been involved in a wide variety of transactions including start-up CCRCs, campus repositionings, mergers, and dispositions of existing campuses, expansions, and current and advance refundings. Mike has provided sole technical and transactional support on transactions that have utilized taxable and tax-exempt unrated and rated fixed rate debt, Ziegler’s EXTRASSM, TEMPSSM, and ARROSSM products, taxable and tax-exempt enhanced variable rate debt, construction loans, bank qualified private placements, and both tax-exempt and taxable institutional private placements. Mike has also been involved in providing advisory services such as financial forecasting, construction loan and permanent debt sizing, capital planning, and debt capacity analysis. In total, Mike has been involved in more than $2 billion worth of financings for Ziegler’s senior living clients since 2004.

Mike initially joined Ziegler during January of 2004 as an intern where he assisted in the development of AAHSA-Ziegler Financial Ratio Comparison Study.

Prior to joining Ziegler, Mike was an associate for NationVest Capital in Savoy, IL where he was responsible for the analysis of customer financial statements and projections for the M&A Capital Placement Group.

Mike has earned a M.B.A. in finance, a M.H.R.I.R in labor economics, and a B.A. majoring in finance and speech communications from the University of Illinois (Champaign-Urbana, IL).
