Craig T. Standen

Craig Standen joined Ziegler in 1997 and focuses on providing non- and for-profit healthcare clients with access to public and private debt capital and advisory services on mergers, acquisition and other strategic transactions.

Craig has more than 12 years of healthcare finance experience and has participated on a broad range of capital markets, strategic and financial advisory transactions for hospitals, multi-state health systems and other healthcare-related organizations across the country spanning the size and credit spectrums.

Craig has acted as lead banker and lead associate on over $6.3 billion in public and private debt transactions and has developed particular expertise in healthcare credit and debt capacity analysis, capital structure analysis and evaluation, complex debt structuring and financial modeling. He also has broad experience in the implementation of derivative and risk management solutions and in-depth knowledge of financing-related tax and arbitrage issues.

Prior to joining Ziegler, Craig was an associate in the Healthcare and Corporate Finance Groups at NatCity Investments. He also previously worked as a pharmaceutical sales representative for Schering-Plough Corporation and spent five years as an active duty surface warfare officer in the U.S. Navy.

Craig received his M.B.A. with a concentration in finance from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University and received his B.A. in economics from Cornell University.
