11/9/2009 - News Release
At AAHSA’s Annual Meeting and Conference in Chicago this week, Ziegler Capital Markets released its inaugural version of the Ziegler National CCRC Listing & Profile, a comprehensive directory of continuing care retirement communities accompanied by detailed research related to the continuing care sector of senior living. The publication is the first of its kind, as no organization has ever defined “continuing care retirement communities” (CCRCs) for the purposes of producing a national listing while simultaneously categorizing one of the more popular living options for seniors. Ziegler prefaces its research in an introductory section by establishing a uniform definition of CCRCs and outlining the methodology used to characterize the more than 1,800 properties featured throughout the text. This definition provides the basis for the publication’s listing of CCRCs, both alphabetically and by state.
In addition to the national listing, the CCRC profile is divided into several chapters which include a look into the development, ownership structure, size range and state regulation of these communities, among other topics. Future CCRC development examples are also highlighted in this section and the research culminates with a breakout of the number of CCRCs in each state as well as the 100 largest metropolitan areas in the U.S.
This publication is available for sale through Ziegler. Pricing and ordering information is available online.
