The senior living & care workforce remains one of the industry’s defining strategic priorities, but the conversation is evolving. While many organizations report improved workforce stability compared with the height of the staffing crisis post-pandemic, workforce challenges have by no means completely disappeared. Instead, providers are navigating a more complex landscape that is characterized by persistent recruitment challenges in key clinical roles, continued wage and benefit pressures, and growing concerns about the long-term availability of qualified caregivers. The findings from the July 2026 CFO HotlineSM survey suggest that many organizations have moved beyond short-term staffing tactics toward more sustainable workforce strategies.
