With more than three decades of leadership experience in nonprofit senior living, Ron Schaefer has built a strong reputation for organizational and operational excellence across the West Coast, Midwest, and East Coast. He currently serves as President and CEO of Emerald Communities in the Seattle area, following his role as Chief Operating Officer at EverTrue. His prior executive positions include serving as COO of Front Porch and COO of Covia.

In addition to his extensive background in the Life Plan/CCRC sector, Ron has significant experience in Affordable Housing and community based service programs. He has also contributed to the field academically, teaching multiple graduate level courses at the USC School of Gerontology.

Ron holds a BA in Chemistry with a minor in Mathematics from Southern California College (now Vanguard University) and a Master of Healthcare Administration from Chapman University, where he specialized in Business Management.
