Multifamily programs

For market-rate affordable, workforce and rental-assisted apartment properties.

• Section 223(f) –  Acquisition and Refinance: For stabilized existing properties, including cash-out refinances and moderate repairs.  
• Section 221(d)(4) –  New construction and Substantial Rehabilitation: One loan covers both the construction period and long-term permanent financing. 
• Section 223(a)(7) – Streamlined Refinance: Refinances an existing HUD-insured loan to lower the rate and/or extend the term, with reduced processing.
• Section 241(a) – Supplemental Loans: Funds improvements, additions or new units at properties with an existing HUD-insured mortgage.

Section 232 Healthcare Programs

For skilled nursing, assisted living, memory care, board and care, and independent living facilities, administered by HUD's Office of Residential Care Facilities. 

• Section 223(f) – Acquisition and Refinance: For stabilized existing properties, including cash-out refinances and moderate repairs.  
• Section 232 – New construction and Substantial Rehabilitation 
• Section 232/223(a)(7) – Streamlined Refinance of existing HUD-insured healthcare loans
• Section 232/241(a) – Supplemental Loans for improvements and additions
• Section 223(d) – Operating Loss Loans for qualifying facilities

Section 242 Hospital Programs

Mortgage insurance for acute care hospitals, including critical access and rural hospitals, administered by HUD’s Office of Hospital Facilities. Financing can be used for new construction, renovation and expansion, refinancing, equipment, and acquisition.
