Discovery Academy of Science (“DAS”) proudly opened its new campus for the 2022-23 school year. Situated on five acres, the new campus includes a 34,000 square foot education building and playground. The new campus allowed DAS to consolidate and relocate the operations of two previous facilities to one site and serve the entire K-8 population.
Global Outreach Charter Deal Synopsis
Global Outreach Charter Academy (“GOCA”) opened two new campuses, Grizzly and Kodiak, for the 2020-21 school year. The Grizzly Campus consists of a 67,000 square-foot building on 15 acres of land, and the Kodiak Campus consists of a 33,000 square foot building on five acres. Both new campuses include playgrounds, athletic fields, and extensive parking.
American Leadership Academy Deal Synopsis
American Leadership Academy (“ALA”), a public Pre-K-12 school district, and Charter One, LLC, an all-inclusive Educational Management Organization, operate together 17 campuses that enroll over 12,000 students across Arizona. ALA proudly completed new improvements, including athletic facilities at two campuses and a new education building.
True North Classical Academy Deal Synopsis
True North is a high performing and fast growing charter network that operates True North Classical Academy at Sunset, True North Classical Academy at Dadeland, True North Classical Academy at Gateway, True North Classical Academy at Pinecrest and two True North Early Learning Academies, which consist of non-chartered early learning centers for pre-kindergarten aged children.
Southeastern University Case Study
Southeastern is a co-educational university with the main campus located in Lakeland, Florida. Proceeds of the Series 2023 Bonds (rated BB / Stable / S&P) were used to (i) refinance five different bank bonds and notes held by a regional institution, (ii) fund a debt service reserve fund and (iii) pay certain costs related to the issuance of the Series 2023 Bonds.
River City Science Academy Deal Synopsis
River City Science Academy, a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) focused program, open a new campus for its RCSA Innovation students. The financing for this transaction was accomplished through an Acquisition and Renovation Loan which Ziegler, as placement agent, helped to facilitate. The Loan was structured as a drawdown loan and subdebt with a fixed taxable rate of 5.000%.
Santa Rosa Academy Deal Synopsis
Ziegler underwrote Santa Rosa’s Series 2012 bonds, which funded the acquisition and constructions costs for the 25 acre K-12 campus, as well as the Series 2015 bonds that funded construction of a gymnasium and additional site improvements. Proceeds of the Series 2022 bonds refunded the outstanding 2012 bonds and funded further campus improvements.
